Virtually automatic, the Web Export module populates your website with products that are created in WinRetail, and manages which products are offered for sale on the web. "We wanted to expand our business on to the web but we were concerned about all of the difficulties that a move like that could present. Our first concern was getting items onto the web. We use WinRetail throughout our business and when we investigated Web Export it made our decision to expand an easy one. Web Export allows us to create an item in WinRetail and make that item instantly available for sale on our website. We can control whether an item will remain for sale when there is a zero on hand, or if we want the item to always be displayed, regardless of on hands. Then we purchased the Web Import module. It takes all of our web sales and sends them back to our WinRetail Order Entry module. It is virtually automatic. There is no need to re-enter anything. The Order Entry module then takes over and manages all of our fulfillment. The best part of all of this is that all of the information about the sale, including customer data, is now available to us to analyze with all of our WinRetail management tools. We can use Power Reporter and Inventory Status, for example, to see exactly how well our website is performing.
