When you license WinRetail™ and Tradewind® from The JDS Solutions Corporation, you will also be asked to contract for JDS’s client-acclaimed Annual Software Maintenance and Support Program. The program, offered on a 24/7/365 basis is your assurance that your investment in a system will be protected throughout its life with your organization.
Software Maintenance and Support
Though meticulous care has been taken on our part to ensure the fact that your system will perform without interruption or problem, the reality is that systems are machines, and as such they and their operators can encounter problems. Software companies are measured by how quickly they react to problems and get you “up and running” again. We are proud of our 100% level of customer satisfaction. Our customers know, and are eager to share with you, the fact that JDS is there to respond to their call whenever the need arises.
Our Customer Support Center is located in our Corporate Headquarters in Carlsbad, CA, in the Pacific Time Zone. We offer direct contact (Support Technician will answer your call personally) during the hours of 8:00AM and 6:00PM Pacific Time. During all other times, inclusive of weekends and all holidays, a paging system will relay your call to the on-call Support Technician who will respond to your page within one hour.
You are purchasing a SYSTEM from The JDS Solutions Corporation, and as such we always want to be your first call. Regardless of whether the problem is Software, Equipment or Communication-related, we will dispatch the appropriate service to restore your system. We understand, for example, the critical need for your Point of Sale system to be operational during your business hours and we have an escalation process in place that puts a high priority on stoppages to that system.

We understand the fact that you have made an investment in our system. We also understand the fact that your investment must be protected. Maintaining the vibrancy of WinRetail™ and Tradewind® is our way of helping you protect that investment. We are constantly making significant Research and Development investments in our products to keep them current and, if possible, ahead of your needs.
Unlike most all other systems, all enhancements to WinRetail™ and Tradewind® are provided at no charge to clients current on their Annual Support Agreements with JDS.
