Careers - Retail Application Support Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Consult with customers on how to use the JDS Software to help run their business.
- Consult with customers to use Micros Retail Xstore, Tradewind and Relate Software.
- Demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Act as customer advocate/liaison with other supporting staff.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Work effectively in a team oriented environment.
- Communicates with development managers, configuration management and operations teams to resolve client issues.
- Collaborating with business owners and development teams to define system functionality.
- Proactively seeks ways to improve things.
- Provide occasional on-call support, as needed, after work hours and on weekends.
- Effective organization, and analysis skills and ability to work on multiple incidents/projects.
Qualifications:
- A strong professional commitment to the customer coupled with understanding retail concepts.
- Strong Computer Software Skills with Microsoft Products.
- Computer Technical Skills Not required.
- Retail business experience, preferably Clothing, Shoes, Gift, Sporting Goods type stores.
- POS systems experience a plus.
