Careers - Retail Application Support Engineer


Responsibilities:


  • Consult with customers on how to use the JDS Software to help run their business.
  • Consult with customers to use Micros Retail Xstore, Tradewind and Relate Software.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service.
  • Act as customer advocate/liaison with other supporting staff.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Work effectively in a team oriented environment.
  • Communicates with development managers, configuration management and operations teams to resolve client issues.
  • Collaborating with business owners and development teams to define system functionality.
  • Proactively seeks ways to improve things.
  • Provide occasional on-call support, as needed, after work hours and on weekends.
  • Effective organization, and analysis skills and ability to work on multiple incidents/projects.

Qualifications:


  • A strong professional commitment to the customer coupled with understanding retail concepts.
  • Strong Computer Software Skills with Microsoft Products.
  • Computer Technical Skills Not required.
  • Retail business experience, preferably Clothing, Shoes, Gift, Sporting Goods type stores.
  • POS systems experience a plus.
