Additional Host/Store Communication Options Now Available

JDS is pleased to announce the availability of additional communication options, designed to give its clients varying levels of data transfer between their corporate headquarters and stores. In addition to Nightly Batch Processing, JDS is pleased to offer Trickle Polling, a scheduled polling alternative, and Traderoute®, an interactive Gift Card, Gift Certificate, Store Credit, etc. update capability.

Nightly Batch Processing: Sales data is gathered nightly from client stores, and inventory data (price changes, transfers, etc.) is sent back to the stores.

“Trickle” Polling: Installation of this optional module will cause client stores to be polled on a pre-determined schedule (for example, every two hours) gathering sales information and returning inventory data (newly created items, price changes, transfers, updated purchase orders, etc.). Trickle Polling also offers an integrated backup of files on a scheduled basis.

Traderoute® Processing: Installation of this optional module will provide Gift Card capability at no added fee, and real-time inter-store updating of Gift Certificate, Gift Card, and Store Credit balances, as well as real-time verification of returns and other transactions. This option is of value to those clients that want to make certain that they know outstanding balances in a near instantaneous environment.

“Trickle” and Traderoute®: Installation of both optional modules offers clients the advantages of having pre-scheduled sales and inventory mid-day updates AND real time Interstore updating of Gift Card, Gift Certificate, etc. information.
