JDS Hosts WinRetail™ Users Conference in Carlsbad, CA

CARLSBAD, California - February 18, 2004

Users of JDS Solutions Corporation Enterprise System Gather for Three-Day Conference.

''Win-2004'', offered JDS's clients the opportunity to meet fellow users, view recent product enhancements and offer valuable input as to future product development.

"We are very excited about the success of Win-2004", commented JDS President Dan Friedman. "Almost all of our clients attended the Conference and based on their overwhelmingly positive feedback, all of us look forward to many more Conferences in the years to come."

Commenting on the Conference, David Conger, Director of Retail Operations for The Coleman Outlet Stores said, "Let me congratulate your team on a successful User Conference. A lot of information was disseminated, and I'm very impressed to see the total interaction between your team and the end users of your product. It is so obvious your company is totally focused on the customer, rather than on yourselves."

Patricia Shiramizu, Controller of Dahle's Big and Tall, echoed Conger's comments, adding in a note to Dan Friedman, President of JDS, "You have an extraordinary staff that you can be very proud of. Not only do they know their stuff and are eager to provide us with great tools to run our businesses, but all of them are genuinely nice and caring people."

The Win-2004 Conference marked JDS's establishment of focus groups, where users were asked to provide input into future product strategy. "We value the input of each and every one of our customers and do all that we can to make certain that our products meet their current needs, as well as anticipate their future requirements," Friedman said. "Our customers have always driven the developmental direction of our company and our products. The Focus Groups simply extended that process."

In a survey of attendees at the conference, over 92% of those responding indicated that the level of customer support received from JDS was either good or excellent, with 94% giving JDS support personnel marks of good or e xcellent in overall application and industry knowledge. When asked specifically about WinRetail™, JDS's Enterprise Management System, over 90% again indicated a rating of either Good or Excellent, singling out specifically the ease of use and merchandising functionality contained within the system.
