I was telling him a little about your company and how things work etc. I told him that the thing I liked the best was knowing people by first name, actually having their extension number and email to contact them directly, not calling some 800# where you never knew who you were going to talk to, when they would get back to you, and they didn’t really know you or have any kind of client relationship. I am not sure if any Software package (other than custom written) would fit anyone 100% but your willingness to work with us and do enhancements is appreciated. Your accessibility to us is appreciated as well. I have never gotten a complaint from a store regarding support issues either. Thanks.”

The first Mr. Alan’s store opened in the New Orleans Mall in the City of Southfield at Ten Mile and Greenfield, with just 800 sq.ft. of space. It has since grown to occupy approximately 9,000 sq.ft. of space near its original location.
Today, Mr. Alan’s does over 200 times the business that they did in 1974. From one store in the New Orleans Mall in 1974, Mr. Alan’s has grown to be one of the leading shoe and sportswear retailers in the Midwest, and they ’re still growing.
